These philanthropic commitments will provide immediate and long term assistance to these affected countries in hopes of alleviating some of the human tragedy they are experiencing. The aid is life saving medical equipment and medicine, high energy food, water and thermal blankets. The money and supplies have been donated to different agencies assisting the Ukraine include The Red Cross, Central Emergency Response Fund (UN), Doctors Without Borders and Refugees International. These agencies are international organisations that have decades long track records of going to different disaster/war zones and getting aid to those in need. They have existing administrave infrastructure and supply chain networks in place that get international assistance to the affected areas quickly and efficiently. The CEO of Market Broker said, “ In the coming weeks, displaced and uprooted refugees will receive much needed supplies to help alleviate the tragic situation occuring in their country.”

The Global Operations Manager, Sebastian Murphy said yesterday, “London is the next sensible choice for an office due to its strategic time zone in Europe. This will alleviate waiting time for transaction/research information from our Tokyo or New York offices. Our main objective is to ensure that our existing clients get timely service and access that they need, and we welcome new European/ UK clients to join our thousands of satisfied customers.” He went on to say that, “we expect the office to be open in June 2023 and we are currently looking at different locations that will meet our needs from 2023 and into the future.”

The new office will continue to provide cutting edge technology to our clients as it is tested and developed so that we stay ahead of our competitors to provide the best service and support that we have built our reputation on. The office will house a trading desk, support and sales teams and a research department to provide our clients with up to the minute news and market movements. The process of moving has already begun as we are seeking a location for a new data storage center in Europe, which will entail encrypted security, uninterruptible power supply, physical and cloud servers that will meet future demands and maintain the integrity of our data and telecom systems.

Giving Foundation Helping NYC with Food Insecurity

The Market Broker Giving Foundation has recently teamed up with a few outstanding local New York charities to raise money (and awareness) and donate food to food banks and other local food charities, where food will be distributed to those with food insecurities. As the pandemic continues to disrupt our daily lives, people will continue to struggle to put food on their families tables because of economic and social issues. The Market Broker Giving Foundation is proud to assist these indespensible charities, without whom crucial services for those in need would not exist.

Teaming up with well established food charities - Meals on Wheels, The Hunger Project and Feeding America, Market Broker will match public donations dollar for dollar to help support our charitable organisations. To emphasize the immediate urgency, before the pandemic 1.2 million New Yorkers experienced food insecurity, with 1out of 5 being children. Since the pandemic that number has ballooned to 1.5 million and 3 out of 5 children experiencing food challenges… with no signs of it subsiding. It is our goal to work with these organisations and the media and bring this tragedy to light and educate people about food insecurity. The ultimate objective is to help alleviate it’s devastating repercussions on society, with real poverty data to empower and inspire Americans about the 1.5 million people in need, just in New York city.

“After a year of the pandemic and assistance from the media in highlighting this situation, we are starting to see results from our efforts. We hope that this will continue not just in New York but across the nation” said Mark Edwards, Director of Operations for Market Broker.
